CONSERVATION OF ARTIFACTS.

A revised application for funding by the Ontario Trillium Foundation was rejected for the second time in January 2012. We are now working on a collaboration with the University of Windsor (Centre for Smart Community Innovation), Culture Windsor-Essex and other local military museums to prepare a joint submission to OTF later in 2012. The Association is accepting artifacts from any family collection that you want included in this digitization project.

An exciting youth program is offered to children between the ages of 12 and 19 and is absolutely FREE. Cadets receive training and supervision by officers in the Canadian Forces on a variety of different areas, including:

  • Map and Compass
  • Bush Craft
  • Marksmanship
  • Physical Fitness
  • Citizenship
  • Leadership

Cadet Corps parade weekly from September to mid-June. Cadets who remain in the program will have the opportunity to go on summer camps in Ontario and Canada and exchanges to England, Scotland, Germany and Switzerland, all FREE OF CHARGE.

There is absolutely no commitment to join the Canadian Forces. Cadets are free to withdraw from the program at any time, by simply returning their uniforms and any other kit issued to them.

The skills you learn and the friendships you make today, will make you a better citizen tomorrow.
